We are excited that with the removal of legal restrictions, we have more freedom at church and, for example, will be able to sing together again. However, we are also keen to care for those who want to be more cautious.
For these reasons we will continue to ask you to book to join us at church and we will have a “traffic light” system corresponding to 3 seating zones in church, and representing 3 possible ways in which people would like to be treated.
I. Red. I want to maintain 2m distance and I will be grateful if you will wear a mask when speaking to me inside (basically operating within the social distancing regulations up until 19 July). Red zone seating – we will maintain 2m distance and masks.
II. Green. I am happy to return to pre-Covid behaviour.
Green zone seating – pre-Covid, sitting next to each other as people wish.
III. Amber. I am in between. Please treat me with caution, but not Covid regulations. You may want to ask me what I’m comfortable with…
Amber zone seating – a seat or two in between households/individuals.
In addition, we will be very grateful if everyone would bring a mask to church and wear it:
I. when singing - to help protect those who would prefer to be more cautious from the greater spread of aerosols that will come from singing.
II. when coming in, going out and moving around - to help protect those who would prefer to be more cautious in the greater proximity that will come as we move around in a more crowded building.
Please read our new booking form carefully and use it to indicate which zone you and your group want to sit in. Please remember, as well, that we have an evening service at 6pm – where we have fewer people, so more room, and at which you may well feel safer if you want to exercise more caution.
