Join us for an evening looking at one of the big questions our society is asking today: what do Christians really think about sex, marriage and relationships?
A Better Story: God, Sex and Human Flourishing
The last few decades have seen a radical and far-reaching transformation of western atittudes to sex, marriage, and gender. Caught off-guard, Christians often react defensively, rather than offering a compelling vision of their own.
Glynn Harrison will ask how Christians can recover their confidence in the biblical vision for flourishing in the sphere of sex and relationships. How can they revitalise a vision capable of winning hearts as well as minds? And what will that better story look like?
Glynn Harrison was formerly Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Bristol, where he was also a practicing consultant psychiatrist. He speaks widely on issues of faith and psychology, and mental health and neuroscience. His books include 'The Big Ego Trip' and 'A Better Story: God, sex and human flourishing' (both IVP/SPCK).
